  1. Golding Wines, Adelaide Hills
    Golding Wines is a family owned winery situated on the outskirts of Lobethal, high in the picturesque Adelaide Hills. The popular cellar door is known for accommodating for families, and children are more than welcome to play on the lawns or dance around the grounds when there’s live music happening. Popular events such as Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Winter Reds and their very own Paella Day are promoted around being family-friendly with child-friendly food and activities. While the children play, mum and dad can enjoy a cellar door tasting overlooking the estate gardens and beautiful vineyards.

  2. Gemtree Wines, McLaren Vale
    Natural and organic wine producers Gemtree, have a childen’s playground right next to their gorgeous cellar door viewing deck, overlooking the vineyards and beyond. There are swings and climbing equipment and nearby, an enclosed grass area where children can check out the sheep and the alpacas named Gus and Caruso. If it’s raining, there’s a toy box indoors and kids packs available for purchase for $5 with colouring books, pencils and healthy treats.

    Fox Creek Wines is relaxed and hospitable, with beautiful lakeside gardens ready for a picnic under eucalypt and olive trees. You’re encouraged to bring your own local delicacies or order a platter at the cellar door. And for the children, there’s a mapped-out treasure hunt in the cellar door grounds with a prize for those who succeed.

    Pikes Wines in the Clare Valley is of course famous for its Rieslings. But the cellar door also offers an incredible range of Pikes craft beers. So, while mum and dad are happy with the serious business of tasting, there is a kid’s area where the younger ones can amuse themselves. Grab a regional produce platter from the cellar door or share your own packed picnic on the lawn!
