Santos Tour Down Under pedals into Adelaide

If you’re visiting Adelaide or surrounding towns of South Australia over the next week you’re bound to get wound up in the Santos Tour Down Under excitement.

The Santos Tour Down Under kicks off the cycling year in exhilarating style and is the biggest cycling race in the southern hemisphere. Running over nine days, the event brings top UCI WorldTour professional cycling teams to race on the streets of Adelaide and regional South Australia.

The tour kicks off on Saturday 14 January at the Adelaide City Council Tour Village in Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga with an exclusive and FREE concert by ARIA Award Winners, Birds of Tokyo.

Over the following 8 days, the men’s division will make their way across several of South Australia’s well-known regions including the Barossa Valley, Fleurieu Peninsula and Adelaide Hills, covering a distance of approximately 880kms.

The women’s division was introduced to the Santos Tour Down Under in 2015 and will return in 2017 from 14-17 January, covering a distance of approximately 232kms across Adelaide, the Barossa Valley and Adelaide Hills.
