Kangaroo Island Farmers' Market

Planning a trip to Kangaroo Island? If you’re a foodie, like us, we recommend planning your trip around the first Sunday of the month!

For the first Sunday of every month, the farming community on KI comes together for the Kangaroo Island Farmers’ Market.

Kangaroo Island produces some of the finest gourmet food due to the fertile untouched lands and bountiful seas that it is surrounded by. You can find a variety of regional cheeses and yoghurts, seasonal fruit and vegetables, olive oil, honey, freshly caught seafood, free-range chicken eggs and the list goes on! Makers, growers, bakers and a range of artisan producers engage with the Island’s community and visitors, for those who come to taste, learn and consume.

No trip to Kangaroo Island is complete without sampling the premium local seafood available. The Island offers an abundance of local seafood from oysters, prawns, abalone and Southern Rock lobster to King George whiting, barramundi, snapper and freshwater marron. And if you get in early, you can purchase the freshest of the fresh from the fishermen themselves!

For a variety of fresh local produce all in the one place, be sure to visit the Kangaroo Island Farmer’s Market on the first Sunday of every month.
